In Memorium
Our hearts are broken here at UZIMA! with the loss of our beloved Founder and Artistic Director, Kelly Burgét.
Kelly’s light and spirit were undeniable and she brightened every space she entered. The world is more empty without her presence. But, she would want all those who loved, respected and admired her not to dwell on the loss, but rejoice in what she accomplished while she was here. Embrace the legacy she left behind. And use the lessons and wisdom she so carefully, intentionally and passionately she delivered in her work and her life. Her goal of uniting people through art has been accomplished ten-fold and will continue on through her family, the performers she mentored and all those who were graced with her presence.
We honor her now and always.
